Last week I was fortunate enough to be chosen to attend a Cityline taping as an audience member (plus one guest) in downtown Toronto!! Dave Lackie teamed up with Cityline, and he had another Twitter follower event contest on his blog. I cannot express how amazing this experience was! This post will cover the main highlights.
Upon arrival we were brought up to a “green room” for coffee, pastries, donuts and croissants, all thanks to Shiseido. There was a spot at the front of the room with a Cityline backdrop where we could take photos. The room quickly filled, and the energy was starting to build. Everyone I spoke to was so excited!
Pictured below is the breakfast Shiseido provided for us:

Dave came up to the “green room” and chatted with us then introduced us to some members of the Cityline team. We were then escorted to the set downstairs to be seated. Once seated we got to meet the host of Cityline, the beautiful Tracy Moore. My friend Kendra (my guest) and I were sat front row, so I was able to capture some great shots of the set!
Pictured below are a few photos of my view of the set:
Note: The TV screen on the far right in the last photo was there to display all of our tweets during the event using #citylinebeauty
The taping we got to attend included Dave Lackie’s Beauty Expert segment, as well as the Fashion Friday segment. Dave walked us through some new and upcoming makeup products, and what fragrances are hot and starting to show up as we head into Spring.

It was so much fun to see Dave live in action taping his segment! I love watching him on Cityline, so being able to be there in person was surreal.
Here are some photos of a few outfits featured in Fashion Friday with Lynn Spence. Lynn was so funny and had so many great tips. She truly did a wonderful job piecing these outfits together. All of the items were purchased at Winners (minus a few of the handbags) :
Following in the steps of Fashion Friday, we also got to see Jessica Mulroney on the show to talk all about Prom. Jessica showed some dresses ranging from conservative styles to showing a bit more skin. All of the dresses were so tasteful and elegant. During her segment she and Tracy wore tiaras, and waved their wands after each model would exit- too funny.
Pictured below are three of the dresses we saw:
Pictured below is this red dress on its own- my personal favourite:
Also featured on the show was the inventor of Tangle Teezer, Shaun Pulfrey. He showed us how to achieve three different hairstyles that are currently on trend using the Tangle Teezer.
Pictured below are the models sporting these three different looks:
I cannot express how much fun I had at this event. The room was filled with good vibes, and everyone seemed to be having the time of their lives. While the crew would change the set around, or prepare for the next segment, we had so many laughs including a few dance-offs between Cityline crew and audience members- here is one pictured below:
Tracy is sensational, she was so full of energy, and her jokes and comments on and off set were hilarious. Tracy and the whole Cityline crew had so much synergy. The amount of work that goes into this behind the scenes is unbelievable. There is so much you do not see when you are watching from home, or things you do not realize go on until you have been there in person to sit in on a taping. The whole crew is truly fantastic, they did such a great job, and they were all so kind to us.

In addition to all of this, we were given the most UNREAL gift bag valued at $1,000- we were truly spoiled! Pictured below is everything I received in my bag. I will post some reviews in the upcoming weeks on some of my favourite products I received. In addition to this, they also drew 5 door prizes before we left. They drew my ticket number, so I also won a makeup application session with Dino Dilio Beauty- I cannot wait to use this!! On our way out we were given a pink carnation flower as well as a Miss Dior fragrance sample.
