Don’t you love that bright clear-skin glow you have after you have been away on a holiday where you spent a lot of time in salt water? Well Lush lets you to take that glowhome with you, and it comes in a tiny black pot labeled Ocean Salt.
Dior Addict is AMAZING, plain and simple. I LOVE Dior’s lip products, as you may know from my recent review of the Dior Lip Maximizer. If you haven’t seen it you can read it here, In my recent post on the Cityline taping I was lucky enough to get to attend for Dave Lackie’s Twitter Followers, the gift bag I mentioned included a Dior Lip Addict Ultra-Gloss. This review will focus on the Ultra-Gloss as well as two products I recently purchased from the Lip Glow range.
I am so excited to be writing this review on the Shade + Light Eye Contour Palette by Kat Von D. This palette was created with Kat’s profession in mind, the packaging states “An expert sketch artist, Kat uses shadow and light to create dimension in her extraordinary portraits” following this with saying that this palette can be used to “create your ideal eye shape- for the ultimate definition, lift, or balance.” I apologize if some of the photos show some wear and tear on the palette, but I have been using it daily since the day I purchased it 5 months ago.
In my last post about the Cityline taping I was fortunate enough to get to attend, the gift bag I received was filled with so many new products that I could not wait to try. Two Tangle Teezer brushes were a part of this amazing gift bag, The Original Detangling Hairbrush and Blow-Styling Hairbrush! The Tangle Teezer has been a hot topic in the beauty world, and I could not wait to try it. It has won 12 awards, and after using it I now see why!
Pictured below are both brushes:
Last week I was fortunate enough to be chosen to attend a Cityline taping as an audience member (plus one guest) in downtown Toronto!! Dave Lackie teamed up with Cityline, and he had another Twitter follower event contest on his blog. I cannot express how amazing this experience was! This post will cover the main highlights.
Upon arrival we were brought up to a “green room” for coffee, pastries, donuts and croissants, all thanks to Shiseido. There was a spot at the front of the room with a Cityline backdrop where we could take photos. The room quickly filled, and the energy was starting to build. Everyone I spoke to was so excited!

Looking for a lip plumper that provides results without burning or stinging? A product that will instead leave your lips feeling soft and hydrated? Look no further. Dior Addict Lip Maximizer is my go-to lip plumper! Here’s why:
The packaging of this product is gorgeous. I love that it is square-shaped. When you set it down it does not roll around, or off the surface. You can set it on its side, or stand it up vertically and it stays put. There is a silver knob located on the top applicator end, which gives you a little more control when holding the wand to apply the product. I have tried a few other lip plumping products by different brands, and nothing compares to the Dior Addict Lip Maximizer. After applying the product you can see results within just a few minutes. The formula glides on effortlessly, and the wand applicator is small therefore, you can really place the product exactly where you want it.

In September, I entered Dave Lackie’s VIP follower event contest for the Estée Lauder Contouring Breakfast (skincare and makeup) in downtown Toronto, and I was one of the lucky winners chosen to attend. Dave is the editor-in-chief and founder of “BEAUTY the guide”, and also appears as the beauty expert on “Citytv’s Cityline” TV show. For my first post I wanted to blog about this amazing event I was fortunate enough to get to attend.
When I woke up that morning, I was so excited to be in the “big city” and could not wait to get to the event to meet Dave and all of the other beauty enthusiasts present in Dave’s circle on Twitter. The event started at 9:00 a.m. in downtown Toronto at the Arcadian Lofts. Here are a few photos of the venue:
