Dior Addict is AMAZING, plain and simple. I LOVE Dior’s lip products, as you may know from my recent review of the Dior Lip Maximizer. If you haven’t seen it you can read it here, In my recent post on the Cityline taping I was lucky enough to get to attend for Dave Lackie’s Twitter Followers, the gift bag I mentioned included a Dior Lip Addict Ultra-Gloss. This review will focus on the Ultra-Gloss as well as two products I recently purchased from the Lip Glow range.
Pictured below is the shade I received in my gift bag from the Cityline taping. The Dior Addict Ultra-Gloss in #765 Ultra Dior:
This is hands-down one of the best lip-glosses I have ever used (including the Lip Maximizer I also reviewed.) The formula is non-sticky, it feels smooth and does not make my lips feel stuck together even after prolonged wear. It also gives the best shine, mimicking a fuller lip. This shade is gorgeous, it may seem quite dark in the packaging, but when you put it on your lips it gives the most beautiful pink sheen. The colour pigment is not overpowering on the lips, which if you are like me that is what I personally prefer (something more natural.) It is great to wear on its own, or above any other lipstick to enhance the colour. The Ultra-Gloss also has the hydra-plumping technology. A lip gloss that is non-sticky WITH lip-plumping? I will purchase this product again and again.
Following my love for Dior lip products, I made a few purchases at Sephora this past week. Only this time it was for Dior’s Addict Lip Glow line. Chloe Morello, YouTube Beauty Blogger posted a makeup tutorial last week using only Dior products. In her tutorial she used the Lip Glow Balm and Lip Liner. If you haven’t seen her tutorial you can check it out by clicking here. She often recommends the best products, and I know she loves the Dior lip range, as do I. So when she featured these two products I just had to try them! I picked both up in shade #001 Pink. Dave Lackie also features Dior lip products in a lot of his Beauty Segments on Cityline, as well as on Twitter, and his editorial digital magazine BEAUTY the guide.
What is great about these two products is that the technology in the Glow range reacts with your individual chemistry (pH the woman at Sephora told me) and in turn it creates a custom shade for you. It will look slightly different on everyone because of your own chemistry and your own natural pigment. I find this so cool, and I truly think Dior did it really well.
The lip liner is phenomenal to wear before applying the Lip Glow Balm, or any other lipstick or gloss. It’s even great to wear if you just want a bit of a fuller lip and some chapstick. I just cannot get over how even the lip liner has the volume-boosting technology. The balm is extremely hydrating and buttery. Both felt nice to wear for a prolonged period of time. Both gave me volume and did not dry out my lips at all, I give these products 10/10. Absolutely phenomenal products!
You can purchase these at Sephora. I will include direct links to the products.
