Milani- Luminoso Baked Blush Review

So far this week i’ve talked a lot about skincare and how to get that initial glow by starting with the skin.  Today i’m reviewing a blush that can help add some extra glow 😉

I’m sure you’ve heard of the drugstore brand Milani and if you are a beauty enthusiast like I am, i’m sure you have seen their Baked Blushes reviewed all over YouTube and social media.  Today I am reviewing their most popular/talked about shade “Luminoso“.

In case you’re wondering “What on earth is a ‘baked blush’?” here is the explanation from the Milani website “Richly pigmented and highly buildable, the beautiful matte and shimmery shades of Baked Blush are the perfect cheeky pop of color for every skin tone. Sunbaked on Italian terracotta tiles, the warm finish adds a radiance that is the very essence of beauty. Shape, contour and highlight your best features.”  Pretty cool, huh?

Luminoso gives the exact finish its name suggests, very luminous and glowing.  This shade is more on the peach side and it has some highlight in it.  It’s absolutely gorgeous and I was initially intimidated by the peach, however, once I applied it I was pleasantly surprised.

The formula can be a tiny bit powdery if you dip in really hard, but you really don’t need to because the product is SO pigmented.  I am warning you now, be extremely light-handed because you really don’t need much to get colour payoff.  The first time I applied this I put way too much on because I didn’t know how pigmented it was.  I was SHOCKED at how rich the formula is.  It blends in so well and as I said a little truly goes a long way.

In this photo you can see the beautiful glow in the product:

It also has a bottom compartment which includes a mirror and a brush.  I haven’t used the brush so I can’t say much about that as I prefer to use my brushes in my kit for my makeup application.  However, I do like the mirror option inside of the product as it’s a nice touch for when you’re on the go.

Up close swatch on the skin:

Best of all, this product is only C$10.99 at Walmart here in Canada- say what?!  If you’re looking for a drugstore price with high-end results then this is your match.  What do you think of the Milani Baked Blushes?  I can’t get over how pigmented these are, to me they rank in the top blushes alongside high-end products.
