Summer glow? Covered! I’ve been talking a lot about skincare, SPF as well as highlight to achieve that summer glow, but the healthiest glow of all I feel is when you have a nice light flush of colour. I previously reviewed the Milani Baked Blush in Luminoso and LOVE it. Since then i’ve also been loving the latest Milani addition to my collection, the 08 Tea Rose powder blush.
I picked this up at my local Shoppers Drug Mart for C$9.99. I’ll say it again, I am so impressed with how affordable the Milani line is, yet it delivers pigmentation and results a high end product would give.
How beautiful is this rose colour? It is a darker pink, it photographs a bit brighter in my photos than it actually is. It’s a matte shade and I find it to have a slight mauve undertone therefore, on the skin it appears more cool-toned.
The packaging is ADORABLE in this range. The blush itself is stamped like a rose, but it also has contours meaning the blush is not flat, if you look at it from the side you can see it resembles a real rose.
This shade is so gorgeous and really gives a natural flush to the cheeks. I love to pair a bit of this with some bronzer and it almost looks like you aren’t actually wearing makeup. For me this is the best look possible as blush is supposed to resemble the natural shade your skin flushes. Don’t get me wrong I love bright colours as well, but for me makeup is all about slightly enhancing your features and finding shades that are natural and emphasize the natural tones you already have. This blush lasts all day and goes on very easily. It is more powdery than their baked blushes so I suggest using a light hand when dipping into the product.
