NYX- Butter Gloss Reviews

I haven’t reviewed a lip product in a little while, but that’s because I haven’t found anything new I was really loving lately.  Just like my post yesterday on the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz, I am a little late to the lip gloss game when it comes to the Nyx Butter Glosses as well.

The reason I had never tried these was because I have some great ones from Dior that I absolutely adore, but sometimes I’d like to try out new colours but don’t necessarily want to spend in the high-end price point range in case I don’t like it.  So after doing some research and constantly seeing other YouTubers and Bloggers reviewing the Nyx Butter Glosses I decided to give these a go.

The first time I purchased one I picked up the shade Éclair.  After I used this for a week I was really liking how it feels on the lips so I went back and purchased 2 more shades
Crème Brulee and Vanilla Creme Pie.

Éclair

Crème Brulee

Vanilla Creme Pie

This product promises to provide you with a formula that is soft, silky and smooth.  Each shade is supposed to provide sheer to medium coverage and is not sticky.  I find these claims to be true and I really am impressed with the formula.  The pigmentation is great, it’s really easy to rub your lips together and it also doesn’t feel like glue where your lips stick together with some lip glosses.  I can feel that there is product on my lips when I wear it, however, I don’t think any lip gloss can really feel completely “invisible” but it’s very creamy and feels REALLY nice to wear.

Here I am wearing each shade:

When the product begins to wear off my lips don’t feel weird or have a strange texture, I can’t stand lip glosses that do that!  My lips are left feeling soft and there is a faint amount of the pigment still remaining even when the glossy aspect has vanished if that makes sense.  There are 34 shades to choose from, I repeat- 34 SHADES!!!!  This is a beauty-lovers dream.  But best of all I paid C$8.00 for each.  So if I do the math (Note: i’m not very good at math so don’t quote me on this haha) C$8.00 x 3 shades I purchased= C$24.00 technically I paid a bit more than this if I include the tax but still, C$24.00 for 3 lip glosses at that price-point I could barely even buy myself 1 high-end lip gloss.

My favourite out of the 3 shades I purchased is Vanilla Creme Pie!  The Nyx Butter Glosses have a great formula, a huge range of  shades to choose from and have the drugstore price-point so I highly recommend these!  You can shop the shades by clicking here.
