Last week I talked about the Philosophy Purity Pore Extractor Mask and how it has really helped diminish the appearance of my blackheads. This week I’m reviewing the Purity Moisturizer as well because yeah the line is that good!
The product promises the following “A daily ultra-light moisturizer packed with good-for-you ingredients that deliver 24 hour hydration and in just three days, see a radiant, dewy complexion with less-visible pores. ” I am not even joking when I say I started to notice a difference after two days of using this. In case you’re wondering what the “good-for you ingredients” they mention are, they list the following on the Sephora website “Formulated with sustainable meadowfoam seed oil, cold-pressed chia seed oil, green tea antioxidant complex, a blend of vitamins C and E and moisture-magnet ingredients glycerin and sodium hyaluronate.”
I’ve been using this moisturizer every day twice a day (morning and evening) for two weeks alongside the pore extractor mask twice per week and I have really seen a difference in my skin. My skin is soft, hydrated and my pores are a lot less visible. I also see a difference in the colour texture of my skin, it is more uniform and balanced looking. Last but not least I also feel as though my skin is less oily since using these products, which makes me happy because this means I can even use it in the summer when it’s hot out.
One thing I really like about this line is that it is suitable for all skin types: normal, oily, combination, dry and sensitive. It also promises to not clog pores or cause breakouts and I can say that this is true, as well as that it preps the skin for smooth makeup application. I find this interesting and I wonder if it really works? I don’t wear foundation or skin makeup so I can’t say whether or not that claim is true.
The formula is very lightweight and absorbs into the skin quickly. It is yellow in colour and thin in texture, and it also smells great. I am really impressed by the results the Purity line gives and how relatively affordable the products are. It’s a step up from buying a moisturizer at the drugstore, but it doesn’t break the bank paying for an extremely high-end moisturizer from Sephora. I love to let you all know when you can get the most for your money and I can really tell you that this product delivers great results and it isn’t crazy expensive. You can pick one up at Sephora for C$34.00, click here to shop the product.
