Wish you could get ready faster in the morning and get some extra sleep? Well my friends, Batiste dry shampoo can help.
I would like to thank Batiste for sending me this product to review. This is a collaboration through the Canadian Beauty Bloggers Network.
If you feel rushed in the morning when getting ready for work, or you just want to sleep in a little longer, let me tell you that dry shampoo will be your new best-friend if you have not yet discovered this gem. I have been using dry shampoo for about 2 years now and it saves me so much time. The only tricky thing is finding a brand that works with your hair type. Different brands work better for different people i’m sure, so this post will share my personal experiences and preferences.
I have been using Batiste dry shampoo for about 6 months now, and I am in love with the Tropical blend which has coconut Mmmm. I purchased this one because coconut is one of my favourite scents, but also because I could never seem to get my hands on a bottle of the Original Clean & Classic, the shelf was always empty! However, recently I was fortunate enough to get a bottle, and now Batiste has sent me a bottle as well, AMEN! Haha. The Original Clean & Classic has a very light fresh scent, it really helps to give that “clean feel” to your hair, as if you just washed it.
Dry shampoo is wonderful because it allows you to get away with 1 or 2 day old hair (depending on your hair type) by spraying this into your roots (and rest of your hair if you want) to absorb the excess oil. Personally I wash my hair every second day, so I wash it one day then use dry shampoo the next, but that is my preference. I have friends with thicker hair who can go a few days longer than that, just by using dry shampoo. Batiste is by far one of my favourite dry shampoo brands. When I use dry shampoo I always do an up-do. It helps to add body to my fine hair and makes my roots look thicker. One of the downfalls of most dry shampoo’s however, is if you spray too close to your hair you end up with a white film, which you can brush out, but what I love about Batiste is it is EASY to brush out if you do accidentally spray to close (Batiste suggests holding the can 30cm from your hair to avoid this.)
I have tried 4 other dry shampoo brands, and although I will not name specific brand names, I developed a cough from using one of them. I even tried stepping outside to spray it in my hair and still no luck- it was too strong, but I have NOT had this problem with Batiste at all, I can in fact spray it on my hair indoors and stay in the same room.
I highly recommend you give this a try! Batiste dry shampoo retails for C$8.76. It saves you time and it adds body to your hair, so if you have fine hair like me you will fall in love with this product. Tip: Because this dry shampoo is so popular I suggest grabbing a few cans at a time when you purchase it in store!
